The Best Chapter Awards are given to chapters that excel in promoting the mission of the honor society on their campus and in their community.

Each year, Phi Alpha Theta awards two $1,000 grants for books published in the field of history.

Phi Alpha Theta faculty advisors who have served as chapter advisors for 5+ years and are currently advising the chapter are eligible to apply for the Faculty Advisor Research Grant.

PAT awards six prizes annually for outstanding papers written by members of the honor society.

The Gordon Morris Bakken Scholarship in Western History in the amount of $500 will be awarded to a graduate student in history researching the Trans-Mississippi West.

Our Doctoral Scholarship program is for graduate student members who are pursuing a Ph.D. in History or Library Science-Archives.

The Graduate Student Scholarship is for members entering graduate school for the first time and pursuing a Master’s degree in History or Library Science-Archives.

Student members entering the Fall Semester of their Senior Year and majoring in Modern European History 1815 to Present are eligible to apply.
